And The Winner Is . . .

Hello beautiful Curiosity Quest fans!!!!

We are having a great summer here at Curiosity Quest headquarters.  I hope you are too.

Guess What?

Remember the sweepstakes I told you about?

Well, we had a winner.

Jacob, who sent us a video on how to make sugar, won the sweepstakes!  Because Jacob won, the Curiosity Quest crew will be taking Jacob and his family with us to Maui, Hawaii to learn how sugar is grown and processed.

How amazing is that? A big congratulations to Jacob!!!

And, a big thank you to all of you who sent us a video entry for our contest. We are so very grateful to you!

So, CQ is headed to the beautiful islands of Hawaii.  But before we go, we want to know what you are curious about.

Comment below and let us know what you are curious about with regards to these beautiful and mysterious islands.   Maybe we can get some answers for you while we are there!

Can’t wait to hear what you have to say.

In the meantime, Stay Curious!

~ Joel Greene

Nice, Maui is a bit nicer than N. Carolina, eh! We went to Maui on our honeymoon almost 13 years ago. Can’t wait to go back again someday. Emma is curious about volcanoes on Maui. Is it an active or dormant volcano?

Hi Joel and the team of CQ. I hope you enjoy your time in Hawaii and get to try the zip line. I had a friend who lived there for a few years and she said that was her favorite thing to do there. Enjoy! “And the winner is….”

Besides exploring active volcanoes, there is a an animal sanctuary on the big island called Three Ring Ranch with exotic animals including a very rare (and beautiful) blonde zebra as well as many other animals. I have not been, but have heard it is an amazing, magical place with an interesting story behind it. Here is some info: http://www.threeringranch.org/articles/hh_sanctuary.pdf
It would be great to learn more about it and the Goody’s who are so dedicated to these animals. Thanks for all the great programming, my two young sons love it!

Wow! Sounds amazing. Unfortunately we won’t be visiting the big Island this time. We are headed to Maui, but we will have to keep that in mind for future episodes. Thank you so much for supporting Curiosity Quest. We are grateful to you!

When you go to Hawaii, talk about geology of the islands and how they arose up out of the ocean, (earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.) probably millions of years ago. Also tell us about any volcanoes there and when and if they ever erupt. In the geology field my favorites are the volcanoes. Any country I visit I already generally know where the volcanoes are and go to see them. Looking forward to your Hawaii visit and shows. Your TV fan, Joan Rolfe
